Inspired by the words of Audre Lorde, ​The Self Care Exhibit: A Word & Image Act of Self-Preservation & Political Warfare was on display at Duke University's Center for Documentary Studies from March 4 - May 15, 2016. This interactive exhibit featured portraits, and quotes from 14 women about their self-care practices. Visitors to the exhibit could also visit several self-care stations, including meditation, essential oils, music, and words of affirmation, where they could engage their senses and practice self care. Below are the portraits and interviews that I recorded as part of tis exhibit.
